Raffa's Study on Nonprofit Investing (SONI) Dashboard

Whether you are reviewing reserve levels, evaluating an investment policy, or seeking additional context for financial discussions, the SONI Dashboard provides a data-informed view of nonprofit financial practices using publicly available IRS Form 990 data. The dashboard allows you to filter or segment results to focus on organizations most similar to yours. This helps keep comparisons relevant and appropriate for your organization’s size, structure, mission, and geography.

With this context, the SONI Dashboard can help you:

  • Benchmark key financial measures against similar organizations
  • Observe patterns in revenue, reserves, and investment activity over time
  • Support finance and investment committee discussions with consistent peer data
  • Provide additional transparency and context for financial decision-making
